The table below details the available features for each synchronization input type
DCF/GPS
NTP
Type
Series of fixed characters including the synchronization type (DCF or NTP).
Offset to
internal time

Reports the difference between the internal clock
and the NTP server
State
IIndicates the general status of the synchronization source and the date of the latest
change in status.
• Ignored ([difference]) ► time input is ignored after a leap
• Selectable ► time input is ready to synchronize with the time server
• Not selectable ► time input is not ready to synchronize with the time server
• Error ► time input is failing
Ignore
this input
Checking this box has the server ignoring the synchronization input. The server
therefore goes in alarm mode and displays “NO TIME CODE” on the LCD screen.
Automatic
stratum
Not available
Activates the automatic set up of the stratum value.
When activated, the stratum value is calculated
based on the stratum value received in the NTP
packages.
Stratum
Use this field to manually set
up the stratum value of the
NTP server (from 1 to 16).
Use this field to manually set up the stratum value
of the NTP server (from 1 to 16).
That field is hidden when the “Automatic Stratum”
option is activated
Unsynchronization
threshold
Use this field to prevent any sudden leaps. The detection threshold can be set up
between 20µs and 499000µs with 1µs minimal increase.
Setting the value to “0” deactivates the protection against time leaps.
