Use this section to set up the supervision SNMP agent running on the LEDI
®
NETWORK
TDS V1.
System information

The three fields “Name”, “Location” and “Contact” can be freely filled to provide
information about the LEDI
®
NETWORK TDS V1
►
The community field is used for the SNMP v1 & v2c versions. The request sender’s
community must match the content of the field in order for the request to be pro
-
cessed.
Security options & SNMPv3 credentials
►
The LEDI
®
NETWORK TDS V1 implements a fully compatible SNMPv3 server, with
security options.
►
The server can deactivate versions 1 and 2c of the SNMP protocol so that it doesn’t
answer unsecured requests
►
To use the security features of the SNMPv3 protocol, specify a username, a
password and an encryption key in the corresponding fields.
►
Filling the Password field automatically enables the password verification on inco
-
ming SNMPv3 requests. Filling the Privacy key field automatically enables encryp
-
tion on SNMPv3 exchanges.
►
If both fields are filled, the server only answers requests with valid passwords and
privacy keys.
