QUICK START GUIDE

1.

  Calibrate pH Sensor, if necessary. (page 8)

2.

  Adjust pH Controller Setpoint, if necessary. (page 9)

3.

  Remove pH senor cap and insert pH Sensor into fitting. (page 10)

4.

  Insert chemical pickup hose into cleaning chemical drum or bucket.

5.

  Prime the Chemical Pump. (page 10)

6.

  Prime main pumping system. (page 11)

7.

  Connect main circulation hoses. (page 11)

8.

  Open/close appropriate valves. (pages 11, 12)

9.

  Add 

ScaleBreak®

 and water to vessel. (page 13)

10.

  Flip Main Power Switch to “ON” (up position).

11.

  Slide pH Controller Switch to “AUTO”.

12.

   If  red 

"OVERFILL ALARM"

 lamp is lit, Venting Drum is full (on GDS-15-PH, 

chemical pump will be disabled). Drain some solution into a suitable container 

to continue. (page 13)

13.

   After one hour of stable pH (no chemical injection), the 

"CLEANING IN 

PROGRESS"

 light will go out. (page 14)

14.

  Neutralize descaling solution. (page 14)

15.

  Drain neutralized solution from unit. (page 15)

16.

 

IMPORTANT: 

Dispose of solution according to local, state and federal laws.

17.

   Flush vessel and Goodway Descaling System with clean water after use.

18.

  Shutdown Goodway Descaling System. (page 15)

19.

  

Fill pH Sensor Cap with storage solution, thread on pH Sensor, then store pH 

Sensor. (page 16)

IMPORTANT!! NEVER STORE PH SENSOR DRY!!! ALWAYS USE STORAGE
