pH Sensor Tip Cap
DO NOT LOSE!!
PH SENSOR STORAGE
• The pH Sensor is a sensitive electronic unit, and proper care and maintenance
is required to ensure long, trouble free service.
• Always fill the pH Sensor Cap the storage solution. Do not store the pH Sensor
without Storage Solution - this will reduce the lifespan of the pH Sensor.
•
NEVER touch the tip of the Sensor.
•
NEVER store the Sensor dry - ALWAYS store with the tip immersed in
Storage Solution.
• Typical Sensor Life:
2-3 years
if properly maintained (always in storage solution)
6 months
if stored dry
GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
• Be careful with hoses against sharp edges. Sharp edges can scrape, slice and
generally damage the hoses quickly.
• Keep machine clean and dry to maximize performance and longevity.
• Protect unit from freezing temperatures. Do not store unit outdoors.
• To protect the unit from damage, the plumbing, pumps and hoses should be
drained before the unit is placed in long term storage.
• At the bottom of the main pump inside the unit there is a pump drain plug.
It is accessible from beneath the unit. Remove drain plug and open Valve #1
(Venting Drum Valve) to fully drain the unit.
• If the unit is to be stored for an extended period of time in an unheated
location pour 1 gallon of RV antifreeze into the Venting Drum, open Valve #1
(Venting Drum Valve) and Valve #3 (Pump Output Valve) until antifreeze exits
Valve #3. Close the Valves.
•
IMPORTANT:
Use only RV antifreeze (propylene glycol-based). Automotive
antifreeze (ethylene glycol-based) may turn corrosive and damage the unit.
• When using the unit after long term storage, flush with clean water before use.
You can recover the antifreeze in the unit and reuse.
