Filling a Closed Vessel with ScaleBreak®

1.

   Refer to the

ScaleBreak®

Usage Manual for the required amount of

ScaleBreak®

.

2.

  You can use the

Venting Drum

and

Main Pump

to fill a closed vessel:

2a.    After the unit is primed, remove the lid and fill the

Venting Drum

up to

the bottom of the Overfill Sensor with

ScaleBreak®

. The white Overfill

Sensor float should not be submerged.

2b.  Make sure

Valve #1

and

Valve #3

 are open.

2c.  Make sure

Valve #2

 is closed.

2d.   Turn  the

Main Pump

Switch On and empty the

Venting Drum

into

the vessel.

2e.   When  the

Venting Drum

is empty, turn

Main Pump

Off, add more

ScaleBreak®

into the Venting Drum, and repeat operation.

3.

   After all the

ScaleBreak®

 has been added, fill the

Venting Drum

with about 5

gallons (19 L) of water (to the elbow of the Overfill Sensor).

4.

Fill the vessel to be cleaned with water. For normal cleaning use a ratio of 70%

water to 30%

ScaleBreak®

.

5.

   You can use the

Venting Drum

and

Main Pump

to fill a closed vessel with water.

Use the method above.

6.

If the total volume of the closed vessel is less than 15 gallons (56.7 L), you can

just fill the vessel with water, place the Chemical Pickup Hose in a 5 gallon

chemical bucket or drum, and clean the unit using the “Auto” mode on the

pH Controller

.

a.   Make sure the Venting Drum is only full up to the elbow of the Overfill

Sensor. This will allow the maximum amount of

ScaleBreak®

 to be added

to the closed vessel system.

7.

If the total volume of the vessel is more than 15 gallons (56.7 L), you can use

the method above, or you can use the on-board chemical pump:

7a    Once the Main Pump and Chemical Pump are primed and the unit is

hooked up to the vessel being cleaned, make sure the Chemical Pickup

Hose is in the chemical bucket or drum

7b.  Slide the pH Controller Switch to “ON”.

7c.   Once the required amount of

ScaleBreak®

has been added to the vessel,

slide the pH Controller Switch to “OFF”

8.

Fill the vessel with water. For normal cleaning use a ratio of 70% water to

30%

ScaleBreak®

.

Filling an Open Vessel with ScaleBreak®

1.

   Refer to the

ScaleBreak®

Usage Manual for the required amount

of

ScaleBreak®

.

2.

  Pour the required amount of

ScaleBreak®

 into the open vessel.

3.

   After the

ScaleBreak®

has been added, fill the open vessel with water. For

normal cleaning use a ratio of 70% water to 30%

ScaleBreak®

.

4.

Fill the open vessel ½ way with water. Allow enough room for the introduction

of

ScaleBreak®

.

5.

Place the Chemical Pickup Hose in the chemical bucket or drum.

6.

The system is now ready for automatic operation. Turn

Main Pump

On

(up position) and slide

pH Controller

Switch

 to

“Auto”
