NOTICE
• Don’t mix water with ready-
to-use washer fluid. It could
freeze and damage washer
system components.
• When it’s very cold outside,
only fill the tank 3/4 full with
fluid to allow for expansion.
• Don’t use engine coolant for
your windscreen washer. It
can damage your washer
system and paint.
Battery
Your vehicle is fitted with a battery
that requires no periodic
maintenance.
When it is time for a new battery,
purchase one with same replace-
ment number that is shown on the
original battery's label.
• You will never have to add
water to the battery.
• If your vehicle will not be
driven for an extended period
of time, disconnect the lead
from the negative ("-") terminal
of the battery or use a "trickle"
charger to prevent discharge.
CAUTION
Batteries have acid that can
burn you and gas that can
explode. You can be hurt badly
if you aren’t careful. See the
section titled "How to Use this
Handbook" for tips on how to
work around a battery without
getting hurt.
Battery posts, terminals and
related accessories contain lead
and lead compounds which can
cause cancer and reproductive
harm. Wash hands after
handling.
