To release the park brake, hold the
regular brake pedal down, then
grasp the handle and press the
release button to rotate the
handle. After rotating the handle,
push the handle toward the instru-
ment panel to release the park
brake.
If the park brake is applied and
the vehicle speed is greater than
5 km/h (3 mph) for at least
3 seconds, the brake system warn-
ing light will flash and a warning
chime will sound.

in Section 1.
NOTICE
Do not drive with the park
brake set.
Driving with the park brake on
could cause the brakes to over-
heat. The brakes, or other parts
of the vehicle, could be
damaged.
Make sure the brake system
warning light is off.
