NOTICE
If you have to get a new cap, be
sure to get the right one. Other-
wise, the cap may not vent
properly, leading to serious fuel
tank and emissions system
damage. Your dealer knows the
correct cap for your vehicle.
CAUTION
• Never fill a portable fuel con-
tainer while it is in your
vehicle.
• Dispense petrol only into
approved containers.
• Do not leave the fuel pump
unattended while refuelling.
• Keep children away from the
fuel pump.
• Bring the fill nozzle in contact
with the inside of the fill
opening before operating the
nozzle.
• Do not smoke while
refuelling.
CAUTION
To allow room for fuel expan-
sion in the fuel tank (caused by
heat from the engine), fill the
tank only until the pump’s
automatic nozzle shuts off.
CAUTION
If a fire starts while you are refu-
elling, do not remove the
nozzle. Stop the flow of fuel by
turning off the pump. Notify
the station attendant and leave
the area immediately.
NOTICE
Don’t spill fuel on the vehicle’s
exterior surfaces. It can damage
your paint. If you do, wash it off
as soon as possible.
