4.6.2 Battery Communication
Communication Terminals:
CANL,CANH,ENABLE,GND,BMS485B,BMS485A
Different battery types have different communication requirements.
BYD Battery
For BYD Battery-BoxH, CANL and CANH are used.
The detailed connection is shown in the following figure.
LG Battery
For LG RESU10H Type R, ENABLE,GND,BMS485B and BMS485A are used.
The detailed connection is shown in the following figure.

This pair of RS485 terminals is reserved for external communication to a third party.
4. Installation
4.6.4 Monitoring/Upgrade Communication.
Communication Port: COM2.

COM2 is a 4-pin RS485 communication port which is used to connect a Solis data logger
stick.
If necessary, firmware upgrades can be done with an upgrade tool stick that also plugs
into this port.
Note:
When working with LG batteries in OFF-GRID mode, due to the circuit design
of the battery, some specific loads may cause the inverter to display battery
alarm. This is a normal situation and the system will recover once the grid is
available.
Solis is also able to remotely push firmware updates to systems as long as they are
reporting to SolisCloud..
