Appendix

Deactivating and restarting the PBX 

The Gigaset T300 PRO / Gigaset T500 PRO PBX is designed for permanent operation and 
must not in general be restarted or deactivated. However, if this should be necessary or 
desired, use the appropriate buttons in the administrator interface (

If access to the interface is not possible, deactivate the PBX as follows:

Press the start button on the front side of the device three times within 30 seconds. 
This method prevents an unintentional deactivation of the PBX.

HD monitoring

HD monitoring is an independent application that runs in the background to check the space 
available on the hard disk. If the space available should fall below the minimum of 512 MB, 
the Administrator20 will automatically receive an eMail with an appropriate warning.

Sound files for the Gigaset T300 PRO / Gigaset T500 PRO PBX

All audio files uploaded onto the PBX for use as announcements, music on hold, etc., must 
already be available in the suitable WAV format. Use a suitable multimedia programme, 
such as VLC, Windows Mediaplayer or WinAmp to convert from other file formats. 

Caution

Restarting the PBX disconnects all live connections.
