Enabling file and printer sharing in the Windows firewall

The Windows firewall must be set to allow file and printer sharing.
You can check it as follows:

Open the Control Panel. For that purpose choose

Control Panel

from the start menu

of the Windows taskbar.

Click on

Security

–

Windows Firewall

and then

Starting and Stopping the

Windows Firewall

Note

: On Windows XP systems in the Control Panel choose the

Windows Firewall

entry.

Open the

Exceptions

tab.

The File and Printer Sharing entry must be marked.
Now your Windows system should be able to access the shared data on the Gigaset
SX763 WLAN dsl.
