Recording Sound
It is possible to record a sound on to your Control Omni, which can be heard when scanning
between different buttons and when a button is activated by pressing on the screen. For
example, if the function of a button is to switch on the light, your Control Omni can be made
to say “Lamp”. A maximum of 10 seconds can be recorded for each button. A built-in
microphone or a microphone via headset can be used to record sound, see fig 13, page 13.
Recording starts
directly once you press “Start recording” and it ends when you press “Stop”.
You can listen to the recorded sound when the recording is finished, and re-record the sound
if you are not satisfied. If no sound is heard, check that the sound is not switched off
– see
Sound Volume for system sound on Page 14.
Record sound by using the following procedure:
 Pages/buttons  Select page 
Select the page on which the recorded sound is

Select the button on
which the recorded sound is to be placed
 Start recording  Stop  Listen  
Adding Images
Several hundred images and symbols are included with your Control Omni. They are placed
into various categories such as DVD, TV, HiFi, Bed, etc., described in the section
Images
and symbols on page 43.
Add an image by using the following procedure:
