5.1

Playback Mode

Although we supply all our ground penetrating radar units with a free version of GPRSoft™ standard, we have

also equipped GAS™ with a basic playback function to display recently stored files and viewing them in the same

environment they were collected.

To enter the playback mode of operation press the playback mode button in the main toolbar or press Ctrl+P

on your keyboard. The control software disables all unnecessary buttons and opens the working space with the

b-scan area and the scales only. It is worth noting that the playback mode is the only one that can work without

the ground penetrating radar unit connected. When GAS™ tries to connect to the radar upon start and displays

the message “radar not found” just press cancel and then press the playback mode button to enter playback and

review previously collected files.

Press the open file button to open the explorer dialogue window, select the file you want to playback and press

“open”. Please note that if no radar has been found then the record mode button is not present in the main toolbar.

When the file has been loaded into GAS™ and the data is displayed in the b-scan area you can take snapshots by

pressing the “snapshot button”. If the file is too large then only a portion of it will be presented in the screen. You

can however, playback the rest of the file by pressing the playback button.

It is possible to read the comments in the files if there are any. For that press the “text insert” button and the text

information stored in the file will be displayed.
