Record Mode
It is time to enter the record mode when all the parameters for the data acquisition have been satisfactorily set
during setup mode. This could be done by pressing the record mode icon in the main toolbar or by pressing
Ctrl+D on your keyboard. When the unit enters the record mode different icons, buttons and behavior is presented
depending on the type of acquisition mode you have selected in the scan box of the setup mode. This is why we
are going to treat each case differently and explain the available controls and mode of operation.
1. Text Insert Icon: Use this button to invoke the text insertion dialogue box. Adding notes to profiles must be
done before starting to collect the data.
2. Snapshot Icon: Press this button to take a snapshot of the data presented in the b-scan area. The snapshot
image with the format selected in the general settings and in the specified there directory in your PC.
3. Start Record Icon: Press this button to start recording data in all three modes: time, distance or one shot.
4. Stop Record Icon: Pressing this button will end the current started record session.
5. One Shot Icon: This button is used in one shot mode to record a single trace. You need to press and release to
be able to do another trace.
6. One Shot Icon: This button is used in one shot mode to record a single trace. You need to press and release to
be able to do another trace.
7. Depth Calibration Icon: Pressing this button will start the known depth calibration procedure.
8. Status bar: All the current settings are displayed in the status bar for your information about the parameters
used to collect the data.
It is important to note that the macro palettes dialogue window, the marker, the GPS link and the macro function
dialogue window can be called in the record mode. The only difference from their behavior in setup mode is that
all changes will be applied only when the start record button is pressed. That means you won’t have a preview of
the changes before accepting them and starting collecting data with the new parameters.
