Perform Engine Maintenance -
Perkins 403C-11 Models
Note: Engine specifications require that this
procedure be performed every 250 hours or six
months, whichever comes first.

Check and Adjust the
Engine RPM
Note: Genie requires that this procedure be
performed every 250 hours or quarterly, whichever
comes first.
Maintaining the engine rpm at the proper setting for
both low and high idle is essential to good engine
performance and service life. The machine will not
operate properly if the rpm is incorrect and
continued use may cause component damage.
Gasoline/LPG Models:
Perform this procedure in gasoline
mode with the engine at normal
operating temperature.
1 Connect an rpm gauge to the engine, then start
the engine from the ground controls.
Result: Low idle should be 1600 rpm.
Skip to step 3 if the low idle rpm is correct.
