Safety precautions
Initial commissioning
For initial commissioning, the following principles apply:
•
Take protective measures against dangerous contact voltages in accordance
with pertinent regulations.
•
The control top must be completely assembled and correctly adjusted. All
screw connections must be securely tightened. All electrical cables must be
installed correctly.
•
Reliably secure machine parts which have already been connected against
inadvertently being switched on.
•
After conversion of the control top, residual risks must be reassessed.
Commissioning
For commissioning, the following principles apply:
•
Only allow properly qualified staff to set the control top into operation.
•
Make sure all connections are properly established.
•
The safety devices for the control top must be complete, fully functional and in
perfect condition. Check the function before starting any work.
•
When the control top is switched on, the danger zones must be free.
•
Remove any liquids that have escaped without leaving residues.
7.2
Commissioning – Control Top without Solenoid Valve
Commissioning can take place if the control top has been mounted correctly on
the valve and if the electrical and pneumatic connections have been established
correctly.
Requirement:
•
The process valve must be in the safety position, i.e. an external solenoid
valve must not be actuated.
Carry out the following steps:
1.
Check the function of the external solenoid valve.
2.
Switch on the power supply.
3.
Activate automatic programming mode (keep reset key pressed for 3 - 7 sec.),
see
4.
The learning process starts automatically 1 - 2 seconds after reset.
®
Red steady light for 1 - 2 seconds.
As long as the actuated position has not been saved, the position of the non-
actuated position is signalled within the tolerance with the LED as steady light
and additional flashing of the LED, see Section 6.5.2, Page 32.
