Replacing an expansion card
To replace an expansion card:

Remove the side panel by following the instructions in

“Removing the front bezel” on page 124

For more stability, place your computer on its side. To avoid scratching the case, place it
on a towel or other non-abrasive surface.

Disconnect any cables that are attached to the card, noting their locations and orientation.
(You may need to reconnect the cables after you install the new card.)
Caution
Be careful not to pull or damage the hard drive power and data cables when
you remove the metal reinforcing beam/hard drive assembly.
