CARE AND CLEANING
WARNING!
After usage and several minutes thereafter, the appliance and all
parts within the heating compartment are very hot. Always switch OFF the appliance
(hold the STOP/CANCEL button pressed until the control panel gets dark), unplug
from mains power supply and allow the appliance and all used accessories cool
down completely before disassembling and/or cleaning the appliance.
Do not
immerse the housing of the appliance or power cord in water or any
other liquids or place the housing or power cord in an automatic dish-
washer. Do not pour any liquids directly into the heating compartment.
Do not leave any food dry up on the appliance or any parts of it to keep the appli-
ance clean hygienically. Especially keep the temperature probe and heating plate
at the bottom of the oven compartment and the exterior of the cooking pot clean to
maintain full contact during operation, as residues between cooking pot and tempe-
rature probe or heating plate will interfere the temperature control of the appliance.
The LCD screen is sensitive to scratches. Cleaning with a dry cloth or harsh cleaners
may scratch the surface. Only use a soft cloth, damped with a little dishwater to cle-
an the LCD screen.
Clean the appliance after each use according to the following instructions.
DISASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE
1. Switch OFF (hold the STOP/CANCEL button pressed for 2 seconds), unplug and
leave the appliance cool down sufficiently. Remove the power cord from the rear
of the appliance.
2. Open the lid by turning the lid knob counter-clockwise and lifting the lid up until
it is in the stable open position. Take out the cooking pot and empty the cooking
pot and, if used, the steaming tray completely.
3. Pull the pressure release valve out of the steam vent.
4. Hold the lid by the brim while turning the sealing nut at the inner side of the lid
counter-clockwise to unscrew. Remove the sealing nut and pull the lid away from
the lid arm.
