• Because the cooking pot, lid and interior of the appliance are very hot during
operation and thereafter, do not touch these parts with your hands, arms or any
other parts or your body or any heat- or moisture-sensitive objects.
Protect your
hands and arms with pot holders or oven gloves, before opening the lid
and/or taking out the cooking pot.
• Even with the lid properly closed and locked, steam will escape from the valves
in the lid during operation and shortly thereafter.
During operation and there-
after do not hold your hands, arms or face over the appliance to avoid
scalds caused by hot steam.
At the pressure release valve and lid, and in the
condensate groove and drip cup condensate could accumulate and drip. Additio-
nally, large amounts of steam could escape from under the lid, when opening the
lid. When opening the appliance, keep a sufficient distance to avoid scalds.
• When adding liquids or fresh food into the hot cooking pot for searing or sau-
téing, juices and liquid could splash vigorously. Keep your hands, arms, face and
any delicate objects in appropriate distance, to avoid injuries and damage. Protect
your hands with oven gloves.
• Do not place hot parts taken from the heating compartment (cooking pot, trivet
and/or steaming tray) on surfaces sensitive to heat, fat and/or moisture. Do not
place the cooking pot on inclined or uneven surfaces or at the edge of the counter
or table, where the cooking pot could tilt, wobble or fall.
•
Do not cook any high-proof alcoholic liquor or alcoholic foodstuffs
(e.g. mulled wine, grog) within the appliance to avoid risk of explosion
and fire. The appliance is not suited for flambéing.
CERAMIC COATING
The cooking pot of your Multicook is provided with a PTFE- and PFOA-free ceramic
coating preventing food from sticking to the surfaces.
Please adhere to the following precautions:
• Do not use hard or sharp objects for scratching, mixing or cutting on the coatings.
Do not use the cooking pot as a mixing bowl. Always remove your foods from the
cooking pot, before mixing or cutting. We will not be liable for damage to the coating,
if metal utensils or similar objects have been used.
• Only use wooden or heat-resistant plastic cooking utensils to stir and serve the
food. Do not use any spray-on non-stick coatings.
• The ceramic surface reduces the effort of cleaning. Do not use abrasive scourers or
abrasive cleaners for cleaning. After soaking for some minutes, even stubborn residues
can be removed via a soft sponge or nylon brush and warm dishwater.
