Note:
A signal will sound, when opening or closing the lock.
8. Pull the pressure release valve upwards to remove it from the steam vent in the
lid.
CAUTION:
During operation, hot steam may escape from under the lid. This is
normal.
Do not hold your hands, arms and face over the cooker during
any phase of operation, to avoid scalds.
9. Press the START/Select dial to start cooking. The STOP/CANCEL button will illu-
minate red and the LCD screen will illuminate orange. “PREHEATING” will be
shown on the LCD screen to indicate that the cooker is heating up.
As soon as the desired temperature is reached, “PREHEATING” disappears and
the timer will automatically begin to count down the remaining cooking time.
10. At any time during the cooking process you may:
- adjust the cooking time by turning the TIME dial,
- change the temperature setting via the TEMP/Pressure dial,
- pause the cooking cycle by pressing the STOP/CANCEL button,
- cancel the cooking cycle by holding the STOP/CANCEL button pressed for 2
seconds.
If the KEEP WARM function is activated, at the end of the slow cook cycle, the
cooker will sound a beep and automatically switch to the KEEP WARM function.
The LCD screen will display “KEEP WARM” and the timer will start counting up
the KEEP WARM time to a maximum of 2 hours, or until you cancel the function
(see: ‘The KEEP WARM’ Function’).
11. Interrupt or cancel the keep warm function at any time you like by pressing the
STOP/CANCEL button once or twice.
After all cycles of the cooking process (Preheating, cooking, keep warm) has
been finished, the cooker alert will sound, the STOP/CANCEL button will go out
and the LCD screen will change to blue.
WARNING:
After operation, the appliance and all parts of it (especially the lid
and interior / heating compartment) will be hot. Additionally, a lot of hot steam and
condensate may escape from under the lid, when opening the lid. Only touch the
appliance by the handles.
Ensure to protect your hands and arms with oven
gloves to avoid scalds, when taking out the cooking pot.
Do not place the
hot cooking pot, steaming tray, or trivet on surfaces sensitive to heat, fat, or moisture
