STEAM RELEASE METHODS
The Design Multicook Professional features 3 steam release methods that can be
activated after completing a pressure cooking cycle:
AUTO QUICK
Automatically after cooking pressure is released quickly to minimize overcooking of foods or
adhere to recipes with short cooking times.
AUTO PULSE
Automatically after cooking pressure is released in bursts (pulses) to reduce disturbance to
the food inside the heating compartment.
NATURAL
Pressure naturally subsides without releasing steam through the pressure release valve to
prevent churning up or breaking apart of sensitive ingredients like stocks and beans during
pressure release.
Select the desired method by shortly pressing the RELEASE button on the control
panel during the set-up and steam release cycles. If required, the pressure release
valve will automatically release the steam at the end of the pressure cooking cycle.
Holding the RELEASE button pressed during or after a cooking cycle will open the
pressure release valve, thus releasing pressure immediately.
Note:
Pressure release will always take some time. Avoid manually releasing pressure.
If you wish to release pressure quickly after pressure cooking, press the RELEASE
button shortly, until the AUTO QUICK method is activated and AUTO QUICK is
indicated on the LCD screen.
WARNING:
During pressure cooking, hot steam and water may be emitted via
the pressure release valve, safety locking pin, or pressure safety valve. Thus, during
