RECALLING THE FACTORY SETTINGS
In the case of completely insufficient settings, it is good advice to reset the factory
settings first, for getting a new start. Then, step by step adapt the settings to your
liking for getting the desired results.
1. Hold all buttons on the control panel pressed simultaneously until a beep sounds
and all icons on the control panel flash 3 times. Thereafter, all values will be set
to the factory settings.
2. On next use, check whether the desired values are set up.
SOLVING PROBLEMS
If any problems occur during operation, you will find the solution in this chapter.
Problem
Possible Reason
The Easy Solution
Emergency stop required?
Unplug the appliance.
You cannot install the
bean hopper.
Coffee beans block the
grinder intake.
Remove coffee beans, protruding the top of the grinder
burrs.
The bean hopper is not in
correct orientation.
For installation, the graduation lines must face to the rear
of the appliance. Additionally, the shutter protrusion at
the bottom of the bean hopper must be inserted into the
slit at the rear rim of the grinder intake.
The shutter protrusion at the
bottom of the bean hopper
is in wrong position.
Turn the shutter protrusion to the correct position: the
shutter must be closed completely.
The grinder burrs are not
installed correctly.
When locking the grinder burrs at the grinder intake, there
must be a distinctly tangible resistance. After locking the
grinder burrs correctly, fold down the metal handle (see:
‘Care and Cleaning’).
The grinder does not work
AND/OR the system indica-
tor (dot at the left side of
the display) is illuminated
red AND/OR a beep sounds
when pressing the GRIND
button and the system indi-
cator flashes.
The grinder is not assem-
bled correctly.
Ensure that the grinder burrs are installed and the bean
hopper is mounted correctly and filled with fresh coffee
beans (see: ‘Care and Cleaning’).
The shutter of the bean
hopper and/or the safety
lock of the grinder are
damaged.
Only with the shutter protrusion and the bean hopper in
correct orientation, you can install the bean hopper with
ease (see: ‘Before First Use’).
Do not use violence,
when installing or removing the bean hopper!
The grinder is blocked.
Disassemble and clean the grinder. Remove any obstacles
(see: ‘Care and Cleaning’).
