Active Flight Plan Options
Delete Flight Plan
Delete Flight Plan? allows you to remove all
waypoints from the selected flight plan. Deleting a
flight plan does not delete the waypoints contained
in the flight plan from the database or user waypoint
memory. This feature is described earlier in this sec-
tion.
1. Wth the Actve Flght Plan Page dsplayed,
press
MENU
to dsplay the Actve Flght Plan
Page Optons wndow.
2. Turn the large right knob to hghlght “Delete
Flght Plan?” and press ENT .
3. A wndow wll appear wth the message
“Delete all flght plans?”. Turn the
large right
knob to hghlght “Yes” or “No”. Press
ENT

Select Approach
Select Approach? allows you to select a published
instrument approach for the destination airport, or
replace the current approach with a new selection. In
many cases, you’ll find it more convenient to select
approaches using the
PROC key— as described in
Section 5 - Procedures.
To select an approach for a direct-to or flight plan
destination airport:
1. Press MENU and choose the “Select
Approach?” opton from the actve flght plan
page optons wth the
large right knob and
press ENT .
2. A wndow wll appear lstng the avalable
approaches for your destnaton arport. Turn
the
small right knob to hghlght the desred
approach and press
ENT
.
3. A second wndow wll appear lstng avalable
transtons for the approach. Turn the
small
right
knob to hghlght the desred trans-
ton waypont and press
ENT
. (The “Vectors”
opton assumes you wll receve vectors to the
final course segment of the approach and wll
provde navgaton gudance to ntercept ths
final course.)
4. Turn the large right knob to hghlght “Load?”
or “Actvate?” and press
ENT
. “Load?” wll
add the approach to the flght plan wthout
mmedately usng the approach for navgaton
gudance. Ths allows you to contnue navgat-
