Indicator Description
AP
In the left part of the autopilot status
box: indicates an active autopilot. A
missing symbol indicates a
deactivated autopilot. An activated
autopilot is equivalent to at least one
autopilot actuator applying torque to
either the pitch control or the bank
control or both.
ROL HDG LVL
In the center part of the autopilot
status box: indicates an active
horizontal autopilot mode. No symbol
indicates that no horizontal autopilot
mode is active. An active horizontal
autopilot mode is equivalent to an
autopilot actuator applying torque to
the bank control.
PIT ALT VS
IAS LVL VNAV
ALTS ALTV
In the right part of the autopilot status
box: indicates an active vertical
autopilot mode. No symbol indicates
that no vertical autopilot mode is
active. An active vertical autopilot
mode is equivalent to an autopilot
actuator applying torque to the pitch
control.
ALT 2400FT
IAS 110KT
VS ↓400FPM
Next to the associated vertical AP
mode indicator: indicates references
altitude, airspeed or vertical speed.
ALTS ALTV
In the right part of the autopilot status
box: indicates an armed autopilot
mode. Automatic transition from an
armed to an active autopilot mode is
indicated by the white armed mode
annunciation moving to the green
active mode field and flashing for 10
seconds.

↓ TRIM DOWN ↓
Autopilot-related cautions are
indicated in black letters in yellow
boxes either in the autopilot status box
or above the pitch scale.
