To change a map setup feature:
1. On the Map page, press MENU to brng up the
Page Menu. Then, turn the large right knob
to hghlght “Setup Map?” and press
ENT
.
2. To change map orentaton, turn the
small
right
knob to select “Map” and press
ENT
.
3. Turn the large right knob to hghlght the
“Orentaton” field and turn the
small right
knob to select the desred opton. Select “North
up” to fix the top of the map dsplay to a north
headng. Select “Track up” to adjust the top
of the map dsplay to your current track head-
ng.
Select “DTK up” to fix the top of the map dsplay
to your desred course. Press
ENT to accept the
selected opton.
4. To enable/dsable automatc zoom, turn the
small right knob to select “Map” and press
ENT
. Turn the
large right
knob to hghlght
the “Auto Zoom” field and turn the
small
right knob to select “On” or “Off”. Press ENT
to accept the selected opton. The automatc
zoom feature wll automatcally adjust the
map scale from 2000 NM through each lower
scale, stoppng at 1.0 NM as you approach
your destnaton waypont.
5. To enable/dsable background land data, or all
Jeppesen avaton data, turn the
small right
knob to select “Map” and press ENT . Use the
large right knob
to hghlght the appropr-
ate field and turn the
small right
knob to
select “On” or “Off”. Press ENT to accept the
selected opton.
6. For arports, NAVAIDs, actve flght plan
wayponts, user-created wayponts, state/pro-
vncal boundares, rvers/lakes and ctes: turn
the
small right knob to select the approprate
“Group” name (per the chart on the prevous
page) and press
ENT
. Use the
large right
knob to hghlght the zoom field for the desred
feature and turn the
small right knob to
select the maxmum scale at whch the feature
should appear on screen. Or select “Off” to
never dsplay the selected feature. Press
ENT
to accept the selected opton. Next, turn the
large right
knob to hghlght the text field for
the desred feature and turn the small right
knob to select the desred text sze, or select
“None” to dsable text descrptons. Press
ENT
to accept the selected opton.
