Map Direct-To
To designate an on-screen airport, navaid or user
waypoint as your direct-to destination:
1. Use the pannng functon (see prevous page)
to place the target ponter on a waypont.
2. Press
direct-to
key to dsplay the select drect-
to waypont page, wth the selected waypont
already lsted.
3. Press
ENT
twce to confirm the selecton and
begn navgatng to the waypont.
The direct-to function can be used anywhere on
the map. If nothing currently exists at the crosshair
position, a new waypoint (called “+MAP”) will be cre-
ated at the target pointer location before the direct-to
is initiated.
Airspace Information on the Map
When a special-use or controlled airspace bound-
ary appears on the map display, you can quickly
retrieve information — such as floor/ceiling limits and
controlling agency — directly from the map.
To view airspace information for an on-screen
special-use or controlled airspace:
1. Use the pannng functon (see prevous page)
to place the target ponter on an open area
wthn the boundares of an arspace. If the
area s congested and t s dfficult to select an
open area, you may need to zoom n or press
CLR
to make the selecton easer.
2. Press
ENT
to dsplay an optons menu.
3. “Revew Arspace?” should already be hgh-
lghted, f not select t wth the
small right
knob. Press
ENT
to dsplay the arspace nfor-
maton page for the selected arspace.
To display airspace frequencies:
1. Whle vewng the arspace nformaton dsplay
n the above example, turn the
large right
knob to hghlght “Frequences?” and press
ENT
. Press
CLR
to return to the arspace
nformaton page.
2. Press
CLR
to ext the arspace nformaton
page. Press the
small right
knob
(CRSR)
to
ext pannng.
