BLADE ROTATION LEVER (fi g 4 part 17)
Starts or stops blade rotation.
Blade
engaged.

disengaged.
If the lever is engaged without observing safety
conditions, the engine switches off if it is running, or
else cannot be started.
See chapter 1.6 Machine safety.
7.2. PREPARING FOR START-UP
If the machine has not been used for a long time, the
operator must perform preliminary checks in order to
be able to star and use the machine safely.
SAFETY SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK
Make sure the safety systems are in good working
order by simulating the operation conditions indicated
in paragraph 4.6. Make sure that to each operation
corresponds the indicated effect.
7.3. START-UP
Follow the engine manufacturer’s manual.
STARTING THE ENGINE
1) Engage the parking brake.
- Press the brake pedal/clutch (fi g. 37 part 1).
- Move the handbrake lever up (fi g. 37 part 2).
- Release the brake pedal/clutch. This will remain in
the lowest position (fi g. 38).
2) Put the cover on the blade in the lowest position
(fi g. 4 part 16).
3) Release the blade.
4) Place the gear lever in neutral position “
N
” (fi g. 39
part
3).
5) Set the throttle lever to the fast position
(fi g. 39 part 4).
6) Turn the ignition key (fi g. 40 part 1) to position
“
I
” and then to the “
START
”.
7) As the engine starts you release the key and
go into the “
I
”.
ENGINE SWITCH-OFF
After using the machine:
1) Shift the accelerator lever (fi g 39 part 4) to
intermediate position. Let the engine run for at
least 20 seconds.
In case of an EMERGENCY, switch off
immediately.
2) Move the key to “
0
” position.
3) Before leaving the machine, engage the parking
brake and take out the ignition key.
7.4. DRIVING AND CUTTING

Be careful when driving in reverse. Stop
the machine before changing gears.
