The compressor unit’s direction of rotation must be checked every time the
compressor is reconnected to the power supply.
1. Open, lockout and tagout the main disconnect and any other circuits before doing any conversion
work on the compressor package.
2. All fuses, decals and voltage markers are supplied in the conversion kit
3. Open the compressor electrical control panel. Locate the control transformer (CT) as shown on
the applicable wiring diagram (see wiring diagram attachments).
4. Relocate the transformer primary wiring connection (wire 2L1) from the transformer terminal to
the corresponding conversion kit voltage:
a.
For a 208VAC supply voltage, reconnect to the transformer primary labeled H3.
b.
For a 230VAC supply voltage, reconnect to the transformer primary labeled H2.
c.
For a 460VAC supply voltage, reconnect to the transformer primary labeled H1.
5. Replace the two (2) transformer primary fuses with new ones provided in the conversion kit.
Replace the fuse decal with the new one provided in the conversion kit.
6. Replace the three (3) cooling fan motor fuses with the ones provided in the conversion kit.
Replace the fuse decal with the new one provided in the conversion kit.
7. Install the applicable panel voltage sticker provided in the conversion kit as shown in figure 1.
8. Install the applicable panel voltage marker provided in the conversion kit.
