3.5.5 Determining the joint axis
Assemble the mechanical writing flags with writing paper.
Subsequently, mount the flags on the flag adapters of the
extension set using the accompanying screws.
Insert the axis needles in the corresponding holes on the
end of the side arm and push them in until they are in
contact with the writing flag. Fixate the needles in this
position.
Start in retral joint position and guide the lower jaw of the
patient with the chin in retral open-close movements.
