Section 2 FPT Gateway Installation
2.1 Required Equipment
The FPT Gateway requires the following:
FPT Gateway Assembly (P/N: FPT-GATE)
The following are shipped with the FPT Gateway:
•
FocalPoint™ Gateway PC board (P/N: 46224).
•
PNET-1 surge suppressor (P/N: PNET-1).
•
CAT5 cable (P/N: 75644) - provides Ethernet connection from gateway PC board to PNET-1
surge suppressor.
•
DB9 to leads cable (P/N: 75267) - serial cable that is used as to connect the gateway PC board
to an E3 panel.
•
DB9 to RJ-11 cable (P/N: 6100-0077) - provides serial cable to DB9 connector connection.
•
Serial Cable (P/N: 6100-0076)- serial cable that is used as to connect the gateway PC board to
a 7100/7200 panels.
•
UL Requires the 7200 and E3 panels to have a two line DACT in addition to the gateway for
event reporting.
•
Cabinet (P/N: FPT-BA) which includes various screws, hex nuts, star washer, and door lock
key.
•
“.010 Formex GK-BK-10 (BLK). UL 94 ZTM-0.”- need to place this insulator in the bottom
of the cabinet in order to meet ULC S527-99 spacing requirements.
•
FocalPoint Gateway Config Tool.
•
FPT Gateway Manual.
Network Components
•
RJ45 to RJ45 standard Ethernet network cable - Network connection to PNET-1 surge
suppressor (supplied by customer).
•
Gamewell/FCI Panel (sold separately,
Section 1.2.3 on page 10
).
•
Gamewell Router (P/N: GWPTP-NC) - sold separately.
•
FocalPoint™ Workstation computer with software application installed (sold separately).
Customer Supplied Equipment
•
A regulated, UL 1481 listed, power limited, battery backed, +24 VDC power supply.
