Alerts and LCD Messages
SCOPE
The following document details the XP LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) messages that may be encountered
during regular unit operation.

FIRMWARE UPDATE MESSAGES
1. Set printer communication parameters to match host (PC) system.
2. Using the host application or a terminal emulator program load and send firmware or font/logo
library data files to the printer.
3. The printer will indicate file size remaining to be received, and then indicate “Programming” when
the file download is complete.

4. Once the printer has finished programming it will either go back Online, or Reboot depending on the
type of data being programmed (firmware/code VS font/logo library). If the firmware application is
different enough from the current version, the unit will display a reset defaults message at the time
it reboots. Press ENTER key to continue.
