5.2. TIG AC WELDING.
It is used in welding of aluminum (and its alloys) and of magnesium with high currents. During the positive cycle, the
oxide that covers the material is ruptured, while during the negative cycle the electrode is cooled favoring a good pen-
etration, because of increases the contribution of heat in the part that is welded.
The preparation of the electrode rounded (shell) angles of the tip due to the high heat input during welding, on, provides
deformed also due to arcing taking this way a form of circular tip.
5.2.1. TIG AC PROCESS – SELECTION OPERATION MODE.
Starting from the standard configuration, we will access at the OPERATION MODE menu, where we can select different
types of welding and arc types.
