How to Adjust the Gain
To properly display a target, the gain needs to be adjusted according to signal strength.
You can select [Manual] or [Auto] and also adjust the gain strength from the [ADJUST]
menu.
When adjusting the gain, increase the gain until just before background noise appears
on the display. If you do not use enough gain, weak echoes are erased. If more gain
than necessary is used, the backgroung noise hides both weak and strong targets.
Touch control:
1.
Press the [ADJUST] key to open the [ADJUST] menu.
2.
Tap the [Gain] menu to open the [Manual]/[Auto] selection box.
3.
Tap [Manual].
4.
Drag the slider bar of the [Gain] menu or tap [+] or [-] to adjust the gain.
5.
Tap [x] on the title bar to close the [ADJUST] menu.
Key control:
1.
Press the [ADJUST] key to open the [ADJUST] menu.
2.
Select [Gain] with the arrow keys, then press the
ENTER
key.
The [Manual]/[Auto] selection box appears.
3.
Select [Manual] with the arrow keys, then press the
ENTER
key.
4.
Select the slider bar of the [Gain] menu with the arrow keys, then press the
ENTER
key.
5.
Use the arrow keys for adjustment, then press the
ENTER
key.
6.
Press the
MENU/ESC
key to close [ADJUST].
Note:
The procedures after step 3 are for when [Manual] is selected. When [Auto] is
selected, the gain will be automatically adjusted and cannot be adjusted with the
slider bar.

How to Reduce Sea Clutter
In stormy weather, sea clutter can extend further around the own ship, making it difficult
to identify targets on the screen. In such a case, use the sea clutter reduction function to
suppress the sea clutter.
You can select [Manual] or [Auto] and also adjust the sea clutter reduction level from the
[ADJUST] menu.
