2.34 Power Supply Unit (PSU-001)
When the power switch on the display unit is turned on, 100/110/115 Vac is supplied from the
PSU-004 to PSU-001. Tap-selection on the transformer T804 is required depending on ship’s
mains. For the ship’s mains of 220/230 Vac, the transformer RU-1758 is required between the
PSU-004 and the PSU-001. The PSU-001 generates TXHV of 790 Vdc, magnetron heater volta-
ge of 8.2 to 8.9 Vdc, +12V, and –12V. R813 adjusts the magnetron heater voltage if the rated
value is not obtained by R811 and R812 in the scanner unit especially when the cable is long.
TXHV is not generated when MAG ERROR signal is received from the transceiver unit. A de-
fective magnetron and open-circuit of the pulse-transformer T801 generates the MAG ERROR
signal. Over-current protectors are provided for magnetron heater, +12 V, and –12 V lines.
