Precautions
for
replacement
Note
the
following
points
when
replacing
a
power
supply
unit:
■
There
are
two
power
supply
units.
Thus,
the
system
can
continue
operating
even
if
one
of
the
units
fails.
Do
not,
however,
operate
the
system
for
an
extended
period
while
one
unit
has
failed.
■
When
replacing
multiple
power
supply
units,
replace
one
unit
at
a
time.
If
redundancy
of
the
power
supply
units
cannot
be
secured,
perform
maintenance
with
the
inactive/cold
(system
stopped)
method.
■
Do
not
force
a
power
supply
unit
into
its
slot.
Using
excessive
force
may
damage
the
component
or
the
chassis.
■
The
type
of
power
supply
unit
varies
depending
on
the
number
of
CPU
clocks.
