Starting up
5.1 Installation steps, overview

First of all, carefully read the safety instructions, see "Important information"
on page 29 .
Ê
Transport the server enclosure to the place where you want to set it up.
Ê
Unpack the system, check the contents of the package for visible transport
damage and check whether the items delivered match the details on the
delivery note, see section
"Unpacking the server enclosure" on page 46 .
Ê
Ensure that you have all necessary manuals, see section "Documentation
overview" on page 11 ; print out the PDF files if required.
Ê
Components that have been ordered additionally may be delivered loose
with the server enclosure. For mounting, see the original component
documentation.
Ê
Install the server enclosure into the rack, see section "Installing/removing
the server enclosure in the rack" on page 47 .
Ê
Wire the server enclosure. Follow the instructions in section "Notes on
connecting/disconnecting cables" on page 60 .
Ê
Connect the server enclosure to the mains, see section "Connecting the
power cord" on page 61 .
Ê
Familiarize yourself with the controls and indicators on the front and rear of
the server enclosure, see section
"Controls and indicators" on page 21 .
