The Server Blade

Exchanging/Adding Procedures

Figure 46: Installing the hard disk drive

Place the assembled HDD unit in the empty HDD location on the server
blade so that the IDE interface adapter snaps into the corresponding IDE
interface connector (1) on the server blade.

Figure 47: Installing the hard disk drive

Fasten the HDD on the server blade with three screws.

Insert the server blade into the slot in the system (see figure 63 in the section
“Inserting the Server Blade” on page 99).

The hard disk drives are removed in reverse order.
