The Server Blade

Exchanging/Adding Procedures

Attaching PCI Module

Attaching the LAN- or FC-PCI module occurs in the same way. The
following figures show the procedure for attaching the LAN-PCI module
only.

Figure 51: Mounting PCI module

There is a protective plastic film on the connector (a) on the server blade.
Remove it before mounting the PCI module.

In any case of Windows operating systems, the license number must be
entered after installation the first time you start the operating system. You
find this license number on the COA label on the rear of the server blade
(see figure 35 on page 74).

Note the license number for further use before mounting the PCI module.

Place the PCI module on the server blade with the guide pins (1) in the holes
(2) and the connectors (3) to coincide.
