All system functions are turned off to conserve power. The system does not respond to the pen or
other input.

The system consumes the same amount of power whether it is in Hibernate mode or OFF
mode.
Powering up the Tablet PC
Requirement: The system is switched off (OFF mode, hibernate).

Press the ON/OFF switch to boot the system.
Switching off the Tablet PC
Follow these steps to shut down and turn off your system:

If system operation has been suspended, resume system operation. Additional information is
contained in the section "Resuming operation" in this chapter.

Close all open programs.

Choose
Shut Down
from the Windows Start menu.
The system is now switched off.
Activating suspend mode
The Tablet PC allows you to suspend system operation without closing programs or exiting the
operating system.

If you selected
Shut down the computer
in
Start - Control Panel - Power Options
, the following
procedure will not be possible, since pressing the button will cause the system to shut
down rather than activating the suspend mode.
Windows Vista
If you selected

Options
the following procedure will not be possible, since pressing the button will cause
the system to shut down rather than activating the suspend mode.
To change the power options, go to
Start - Control Panel - Power Options
.
To suspend system operation:

Press the On/Off button or carry out the Standby command from your operating system or
power management program.
If your system is configured to suspend operation using Hibernate mode, a message is displayed
while data is being saved to your hard disk.
