4. Press the [OK] button.
This returns you to the "Save" screen.
5. In the "Save as:" field, enter a file name for the scanned data to be saved.
File names may be up to 128 characters long. \ and / are used as folder separator characters.
The following symbols cannot be used.
: * ? " < > |
The default setting is the file name set on the administrator "File Names (Save)" screen.

"4.6.9 Setting a File Name Format for When Saving Scanned Data"
(page 72) .
HINT
User authentication may sometimes be required to access the file server.
If authentication is required, the "F
ile
Server Authentication" screen
appears. The authentication procedure is as follows.
1. Enter a "User Name" and "Password" for the file server.
Passwords are case sensitive.
2. Press the [OK] button.
ATTENTION
z The following file names cannot be used:
z CON
z PRN
z AUX
z CLOCK$
z NUL
z COM0 to COM9
z LPT0 to LPT9
z If the file format is changed in "Scan Settings", the file name set on
the "File Names (Save)" screen is reset in the "Save As" field.
