Image Type
You can specify a printing mode to match the characteristics of the document to be printed. This feature is available
when [Basic Features] is selected.
• [Standard] *
Suitable for printing documents containing a mixture of text, graphs and photographs.
• [Photos]
Suitable for printing photographs taken with digital cameras.
• [Presentation]
Vividly prints application palette colors. This mode is suitable for printing presentation materials using color
graphics.
• [Design]
Reproduces the impression of a monitor graphic image on paper. This mode is suitable for printing web pages
or DTP data.
• [POP]
Faithfully reproduces the color. This mode is suitable for printing bright color documents such as POP or fliers.
• [Off]
To deselect image type, select [Off].
Screen
Adjust the image quality to suit the settings.
• [Auto Screening] *
The screen is set automatically.
• [Fineness]
This prioritizes the reproduction of characters and lines.
• [Standard]
This more beautifully reproduces documents containing photographs, etc.
• [Gradation]
This prioritizes the reproduction of diagrams and graphs.
Color Balance button
The [Color Balance] dialog box is displayed. You can adjust the density of colors.

When selecting the [Adjust Color Balance] check box, you can finely adjust the toner density for CMYK (cyan /
magenta / yellow / black). Select the color to be adjusted from [Target Color], and adjust it with the keyboard or the
up and down buttons below the [Highlights], [Midtones], and [Shadows] graphs. For each color, you can adjust high
density, middle density, and low density each in seven levels from -3 to +3.
NOTE:
• When selecting [Black and White] for [Output Color], you can adjust only black.
