On-Chip Primary/Secondary PCI IDE:
These options enable or disable
the primary and secondary onboard IDE controllers. The default
settings are “Enabled.”
IDE Primary/Secondary Master/Slave PIO:
When set to “Auto” the
BIOS will automatically set the mode to match the transfer rate of the
hard disk. If the system won’t boot up when set to “Auto” set it manually
to a lower mode, e.g., from Mode 3 to Mode 2. All IDE drives should
work with PIO mode 0. There are six options:
—
Auto (default)
—
Mode 0
—
Mode 1
—
Mode 2
—
Mode 3
—
Mode 4
