Hardware Installation

 

 

Serial Ports 

Connect a serial device such as a mouse or modem to the turquoise 
9-pin serial ports.  You can set the serial port IRQs in BIOS.  Refer to 

Integrated Peripherals 

in Chapter 4 for details. 

 

 

 
 

Note: Serial printers must be connected to the serial port. 

 
 
 

VGA Port 

Connect an external monitor to the blue 15-pin VGA port.  You can 
set the VGA port IRQs in BIOS.  Refer to Integrated Peripherals in 
Chapter 4 for details. 

 

 

 
 

Game Port 

You can connect a joystick, game pad, or other game device to the 
gold 15-pin game port.  You can also connect a MIDI device for playing
