8 Flow Analysis
Flow Analysis includes Today Top-10, History Top-N and Flow Statistics, which provides
the system administrator an instant insight to the bandwidth usage analysis, and it’s
based on user and services (network protocols).
This feature is included for certain models of the ICR appliances, for example ICR2000.

Overview
Sliding Bar
z
User and service charts will auto-adjusted with the move of sliding bar.
Drag the slider or red duration bar to view statistics of desired period of the day.
User
z
It shows the top 10 users of data transmission over TCP or UDP protocols of a
specific duration.
z
The displayed names in User List > Logged are used as a basis for displaying the
User Name.
z
8-Recorded / Others indicates respectively the sum total of traffic of 8 major
services, namely SMTP, POP3, HTTP, IM, Web SMTP, Web POP3, FTP and Telnet,
and the sum total of other services’ traffic.
z
The traffic of each used service is listed out separately and has the percentage in
total traffic. To obtain the detailed traffic information, click the traffic indicative bar.
Service
z
It shows the top 10 used services of a specific duration.
z
Service Name is displayed in protocol name (e.g., HTTP, FTP, SMTP…) or protocol
name appended with port number (e.g., TCP: 28710, TCP: 12272, UDP: 1900...).
z
“Flows” indicates the total of used service’s traffic up to date.
z
The users of a same service are listed out with traffic specified separately and
calculated the individual percentage in total traffic. To obtain the detailed traffic
information, click the traffic indicative bar.
