4. Conversion of adjacent channels
It is possible to convert all filtered channels within the UHF band into a free channel under distribution.
So to not worsen the quality of the terrestrial digital channels managed by the SAF-HD headend, we rec-
ommend that you don’t convert them into output adjacent channels. To improve the signal, in the event
of a conversion into adjacent channels, we recommend taking advantage of the output channel OFFSET.
Note: No degradation will occur if the adjacent multiplexes present in the antenna are filtered on the same output
channels or if they are interspersed with at least one channel during the conversion phase.
5. PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS
The SAF-HD headend can be programmed by an integrated keyboard or FHM software. To program the
headend by the FHM management software, refer to the FHM guide.
To enter the programming menu, press the key
and enter the user code (default 1234).
To change the language of the menu, enter the “HEADEND - LANGUAGE” menu of the SAF-HD unit and
select the language you want by pressing the
key.
For all programming operations and for interpreting the programming menus indicated in the following flow-
