LOADING THE CONFIGURATION FILE
By means of a pen drive, a configuration that was previously memorized or saved from a PC can be loaded
into the “CONTROL UNIT - USB MEMORY”.
When the display shows “insert USB,” insert the pen drive and press the
key. Use the DOWN arrow to
scroll down the files within the pen drive and select the configuration file that you want by pressing the
key
to load the configuration into the SAF-HD unit. A message will be displayed when the operation is complete.
Notes:
•
When a configuration is copied from one headend to another, all settings are copied, including the
headend parameters such as user code and language.
•
Accepted formatting for the pen drive: FAT-12, FAT-16, FAT-32 (MS-DOS).
•
The pen drive cannot have two or more partitions and/or a proprietary file system.
•
The configuration files must be saved in the root (principal directory) of the disk (the SAF-HD does not
allow access to the sub-folders).
•
The name of the configuration file must not exceed 16 letters ( “cpr” extension not included)
•
Special symbols such as *, /, \, !, ... etc. are not accepted.
6. REMOTE MANAGEMENT AND UPDATING
6.1 REMOTE MANAGEMENT
For managing the headend configuration remotely through the PC, refer to the Fracarro Headend Manage-
ment software.
6.2 UPGRADE FIRMWARE
The SAF-HD unit can be upgraded by a PC by means of the RJ45 serial port
or remotely when connected
to a controller host.
To find the last firmware and upgrade instructions, refer to the section “Software updating” within the website
www.fracarro.com.
