VRRPv3 Troubleshooting
When configuring and using VRRPv3 protocol, it might operate abnormally because
of incorrect physical connections and configuration. So, users should pay attention to the
following points:
First, the physical connections should be correct;
Next, the interface and link protocol are UP (use
show ipv6 interface
command);
And then, make sure that IPv6 forwarding function is enabled (use
ipv6 enable
command);
Besides, make sure that VRRPv3 protocol is enable on the interface;
Check whether the time of timer in different routers (or layer-three Ethernet switch)
within the same backup group is the same;
Check whether the virtual IPv6 addresses in the same backup group is the same.
