The Device Selection (left), Focus Simulation (centre) and Parameter Field (right)
Beam Steering settings in the Parameter Field:
X-Pos (m)
This defines the distance of the selected speaker (in metres) in relation to the vertical back
wall.
Z-Pos (m)
Defines the height of the selected speaker’s lower edge (in metres) in relation to the floor.
Pre-Angle (°)
Here you can enter the mechanical inclination of the loudspeaker. This value only influences
the display in the Focus Simulation.
Freq. (Hz)
Here you can input the reference frequency for calculation and display in the neighbouring
Focus Simulation. The frequency you input here will have no effect whatsoever on the sound
being reproduced by your loudspeaker!
Upside Down
Adding a check mark to this field means that the loudspeaker effectively turns upside down.
This can be useful if your
FOCUS-SERIES
loudspeakers have to be installed head first.
Beam 2 (previously: Split)
Adding a check mark to this field creates a second beam for the loudspeaker in question. The
following parameters can then be set for both beams, individually and independently from
each other.
Angle (°)
Here you can enter the beam’s vertical inclination angle – in 0.1° increments - within a range
of +/-40°.
