Editing and Error Output Settings
All Calibrator outputs can be edited using the Edit knob and associated
Selection keys. Using the knob
in many cases opens an Error Mode slide out where the Error, Reference and Type (Error Reference,
either Nominal Value or True Value), and sometimes Power is displayed. While
slewing
(turning) the
knob, the error continues to update. Tap the
New Reference
button to save the new value to reference
and clear the error value. Change the Error Reference Type in the Setup Menu if necessary. See
.
Table
shows the actions that cause the Calibrator to exit the error mode and return to the original
reference output, or to output a new reference, as selected.
Output Setting
When you initially source an output from the Calibrator, you enter a specific value. For example,
10.00000 V dc. To edit the output value to suit the application:
1. Tap the desired output on the screen to select it.
2. Turn the Edit Field knob clockwise to increase the value or counter-clockwise to decrease the
value. Many pop-ups, slide-outs, and menu screens block the editing of function output fields and
should be closed first.
To select a digit, use an Edit Field cursor key
Y
or
Z
. The output digit in edit will be underlined.
The momentary display of the open yellow box or open green circle in the upper left of the display when
editing during OPERATE indicates
unsettled
. That is, the Calibrator output is settling with a new value
when the open green square or circle goes solid.
