Description
R
Push
C
(Clear Entry) to delete a partially-completed keypad entry from the Display.
S
Push
R
to abort the current operating state of the Product. This returns the Product to the
power-up default state.
T
Push
O
(lighted
Soft-Power switch
) to turn the Product power on and off.
U
Push
x
(multiplier key) to change the output to 10X the reference value (not necessarily the
present output value) if the value is within performance limits. This key puts the Calibrator
into Standby if the change is from
≤
30 V to >30 V. In some Scope functions,
x
changes the
output to the next higher step in the sequence.
V
Push
*
(divide key) to change the output to 1/10th reference value (not necessarily the
present output value) if the value is within performance limits. In some Scope functions,
*
changes the output to the next lower step in the sequence.
W
Push
X
,
Y
,
Z
(selection keys) to select an output signal or a specific digit. The keys allow
you to adjust the magnitude of changes by moving the highlighted digit.
X
changes the
selection between the main values on the Display. In practice, for voltage and current
outputs, these keys (with the Edit knob) adjust the output until the DUT reads correctly. The
Display then shows the DUT deviation from the reference.
X
Turn the
Edit knob
clockwise to increase the output value of the active-edit digit.
Turn the Edit knob counterclockwise to decrease the output value of the active-edit digit. If a
digit rolls past 0 or 9, the digit to it’s left or right is carried. For some values, a relative error
appears on the Display that shows the difference between the original (reference) output and
the new output.
Y
Use the front-panel (and rear-panel) USB host ports to save Calibration report data to a flash
drive or to update Product firmware.
Z
SCOPE OUT
(Oscilloscope) Type N connector is used for outputs during oscilloscope
calibration. This is active only when an oscilloscope calibration option is installed.
a
TRIG
(Scope Trigger) BNC connector is used to trigger the oscilloscope during oscilloscope
calibration. This is active only when an oscilloscope option is installed.
b
TC
(Thermocouple) connector is for thermocouple temperature sourcing and
measurement. This connector accepts standard TC plugs, miniature TC plugs, and bare
wires.
[1] Visual Connection Management Terminals. The appropriate terminals light up in green or blue when you push
E
, whether in Standby or Operate.
The terminals offer visual guidance for cable connections for specific functions, protect the user by indicating which terminals are active, and help to protect
the Product from damage from incorrect connections.
[2] The low terminal for current outputs changes from out low to sense low when changing from single output to simulated power (dual output).
